What is BYOK?

Bring Your Own Keys lets you use your own API keys from AI providers like OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google. Instead of using Menturi's credits, you pay the providers directly for AI usage.

How It Works

  1. Get an API key from a provider (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, xAI, Mistral, DeepSeek)
  2. Add it to Menturi in Settings > API Keys
  3. Models from that provider now use your key
  4. Usage is billed directly by the provider at their rates

Benefits of BYOK

  • No credit limits: Use as much as you want, pay provider rates
  • Existing agreements: Use enterprise contracts you already have
  • Unused credits: Put existing API credits to use
  • Higher rate limits: Some providers offer higher limits for direct customers
  • Direct billing: Separate AI costs from Menturi subscription

Security

Your API keys are encrypted and stored securely. They are only used to make requests on your behalf.

💡 You can use Menturi credits for some providers and BYOK for others. Mix and match based on your needs.
