How to Start a New Chat

There are two ways:

  1. Click the + New Chat button in the sidebar
  2. Use the keyboard shortcut Shift + Cmd/Ctrl + O

Choosing a Chat Mode

When starting a new chat, you can select a Chat Mode to optimize the AI for your task:

  • Writer — Emails, articles, creative content
  • Analyst — Data analysis and reports
  • Coder — Programming help
  • Researcher — In-depth research
  • Quick Chat — Fast, simple answers

You can also skip this and start typing right away. The AI will adapt to your needs.

Choosing a Model

The default model is set by your workspace admin. You can change it by clicking the model name in the chat input area before sending your first message.

  • Be specific in your first message for better results
  • You can upload files along with your first message
